A missed but still loved child

Memorial Day means a lot to different people around the nation. For me, there isn’t a soldier to salute at a grave or on the street. It is a grave of a someone who was taken before she should have. My cousin Alyshia Rae, who meant the world to me, died at the youthful age of 6 by a tragic accident out in the lake in Lake Hopacong, NJ.

Alyshia Rae was a one of a kind child. She always had a smile on her face, never really got into trouble, and always seemed to want to help anyone that she could.

She is missed by me and the rest of the family and will always be remembered by everyone’s heart that she touched.
